Delta 3 Carene is a bicyclic terpene recovered from turpentine fractions and supplied in two assays, 92% and 95%. It has a sweeter and more penetrating character than pinene, which makes it useful both as an aroma material in its own right and as a synthesis feedstock.
Buyers typically take it for fragrance work, for terpene resin production, and as an intermediate on the route to a number of aroma chemicals.
