Gum Rosin & Ester Gum
Glycerol Ester of Gum Rosin
Food grade
Description
Glycerol Ester of Gum Rosin is produced by esterifying gum rosin with glycerol. Esterification raises the softening point, improves colour stability and substantially reduces the acid value, giving a resin that behaves far better in sensitive systems than rosin itself.
This is our food grade material, produced and handled to the standard those applications require. It is best known as a density adjusting agent in citrus flavoured beverages, and is also used in chewing gum base.
